The recruitment process

Firstly, your application will be reviewed by a human being! Our recruiting team looks at every application received.

Next, you will hear back from us. We are committed to updating you every step of the way, even if the outcome isn’t what you were hoping for. We aim to get back in touch with you within one week.

If you’re successful in being shortlisted, you’ll be invited to complete a short online assessment and interview so we may get to know a little more about you, alongside your experience.

While you’re waiting to hear the outcome of your application, why not check out what life is like working at MovePlan.

We are always on the lookout for brilliant people to join our teams. If you are keen to work for us, please click on the link to our careers page to apply.

Please send us your resume, including the position and location you are looking for, to hr@moveplangroup.com as we are always keen to meet new people.

We aim for you to hear from us either way within one week.

Working at MovePlan

No two days are ever the same. Our people work together in a supportive and stimulating environment that is characterised by teamwork, respect and innovation. As a team, we would describe ourselves as friendly, hardworking, and supportive. When it comes to diversity and inclusivity, we respect and champion everyone’s choices, background and orientations.

We pride ourselves on our fully flexible approach to working – since the business started, and long before hybrid working became the norm, we have been supporting our people to work flexibly.

Due to the nature of the work we do, we are frequently required to be on site with our clients. When on site, remote working isn’t possible, however, at other times we support our people to work flexibly, which can mean working remotely where appropriate.

As a woman-owned and women-led business, diversity, equity and inclusion are baked in our DNA – we reward people based on their performance, not their personal characteristics, and we welcome all backgrounds to apply.

We understand the importance of looking after our people – after all, they are the ones that make our company. Here are just some of the ways we show our appreciation.

  • We provide extensive employee benefits including paid time off, time off in lieu, pension, healthcare and competitive salaries
  • We will give you a 1 month sabbatical after you have worked with us for 5 years and every 5 years after that
  • It’s your birthday? Take the day off!
  • We believe in the power of giving back: we provide time off to volunteer for a charity of your choice
  • Love working with us and want a friend or someone you know to join too? We offer a structured employee referral scheme

We also offer a range of region-specific benefits.

Progression at MovePlan

We have a robust onboarding programme that follows you through your first year with us and includes a variety of training to help you feel settled in your new role.

In addition to the onboarding training, we also provide opportunities for external skills-based training where and when it is needed. We are committed to developing, supporting and mentoring our team members and ensuring they have all the tools and opportunities available to them to succeed.

We will provide you with the right management, teams, and mentors to support your growth, all underpinned by excellent career pathways, the right training and an ethos which places people at the heart of everything we do. Rest assured you’ll be provided with the right environment to grow and thrive.

Culture at MovePlan

For over 30 years, our culture has supported and encouraged everyone to achieve the best they can be. We aim to create a workplace that is understanding, supportive, stimulating and rewarding.

Corporate responsibility is at the very heart of what we do, not only in terms of sustainability and ethics, but also in terms of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

We build these values into every project we work on. We are committed to providing environmental systems and procedures that not only comply with local laws, rules and regulations, but also promote energy conservation and environmental sustainability.

MovePlan's History

MovePlan was founded in London in 1986 by Cathy Ridley, who, when tasked to relocate the office of the company she worked for, realised there was a more professional way of managing the move. Fast forward 30+ years, and MovePlan has grown to become the global business it is today, specialising in change management and relocation services, while remaining proud of its founding heritage.
